It’s that time of year again! Love is in the air and Valentine’s Day is just around the corner!
Over the past couple of years I’ve had a lot of fun designing Valentine’s cards for you all to download, print and give out. The ones I designed the last two years are still cute and somewhat relevant, so if you didn’t get a chance to use them, here are the links:
This year I got a little bit of a head start, so I decided to use my own sketches for the cards. If you follow lovepaperpaint on instagram, you’ve seen the daily lunch bag drawings I do each morning for my son, using colored pencils and Sharpie. This year, I thought I’d keep going in that direction and incorporate my own illustrations onto the cards. My boys helped me choose four animals – a panda, a raccoon, hedgehog and sloth, which I hand-drew into the characters for my Valentines. My son, Isaac, loves pandas (who doesn’t, right?). My niece, PJ, loves sloths (she loves giraffes too, so I was contemplating a sloth hugging a giraffe’s neck). The raccoon is a nod to the critter my husband saved from a coyote attack in our backyard a couple of years ago (he called him “Homie”). And the hedgehog…well, we just think they’re adorable, spikes and all.
So, here they are, my hand-drawn characters for 2015’s Love Paper Paint Free printable Valentines. Print them for your kids to hand out to classmates, share them with your family, friends and co-workers. Enjoy!
Instructions are simple…download or open the PDF file. Print out onto white 8.5″ X 11″ card stock or paper and cut into 4.25″ X 5.5″ pieces (just go in between the blank space of each card..should only take two cuts). You can layer them onto colored card stock, put them in an envelope to send in the mail, or use them as gift tags for goodies.
Note: These are for your personal use only. You will not be able to edit these and please don’t sell or distribute for profit. If you’d like to share these on your blog or website, please link back to this original post. Feel free to Pin the link to Pinterest. I’d love to see what you do with them, so if you Instagram…snap a pic and hashtag #lovepaperpaint, or let me know on my Facebook page.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
